Is Christianity all about following rules?

If we believe in a rule-based system, then these rules only serve to condemn us. They don’t show how good we’ve been, they only highlight our failures. Rules, or the law, can only condemn. John tells us that it was because of God’s love that he sent his Son into the world not to condemn it but to save it through him. This salvation is not earned but freely given through faith in Jesus Christ… ‘that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.’ (John 3:16)

Hold fast to blessing

I hope you’ve enjoyed your trip through the book of Galatians. If there’s been one message you’ve taken away with you, I hope, it’s been the message to hold fast to Jesus. Regardless of what else the world, the church or other Christians may tell you never stop holding fast to Jesus, because it’s only Jesus ‘who gave himself for our sins to rescue us from the present age, according to the will of our God and Father, to whom be glory, for ever and ever. Amen’ (Galatians 1:4)
